Michy Batshuayi The Messiah (Chelsea vs Watford)

Michy Batshuayi stepped off the bench to inspire Chelsea’s fightback as Antonio Conte’s side eased the pressure on their manager with a hard-fought 4-2 victory over Watford on Saturday.

Conte’s position has come under scrutiny after back-to-back Premier League defeats and claims of player unrest over his training methods.

The Italian appeared set for another difficult afternoon when Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure and Roberto Pereyra overturned Pedro’s glorious opening goal for the hosts.

But Batshuayi, on for Alvaro Morata, kickstarted the comeback in the 71st minute before completing the win with a second in the fifth minute of added time after Cesar Azpilicueta had restored Chelsea’s lead.

A difficult week would have got a lot worse for Conte had Chelsea suffered a third successive league defeat for the first time since the final months of Jose Mourinho’s second spell in charge two years ago.

Pedro’s 12th-minute effort provided the perfect start for the champions, although Watford were convinced the opportunity should never arisen.

Referee Jon Moss awarded a corner after the ball appeared to go out off the foot of Eden Hazard.

Hazard collected a short corner from Cesc Fabregas and pulled the ball back into the path of Pedro, who whipped in a curling, right-foot shot that clanged into the net off Heurelho Gomes’s right-hand post.

Chelsea should have doubled their lead in the 17th minute when Morata’s cross sent Fabregas clear with only Gomes to beat, but he managed only to chip the ball into the keeper’s arms.

Watford were fortunate to escape, but having survived, they began to gain a foothold in the game.

– Richarlison miss –

Confirmation Conte’s side had lost their grip came in the second minute of first-half injury time when Doucoure fired home with a first-time shot after David Luiz failed to clear Jose Holebas’s long throw.

The equaliser shifted the mood inside the stadium and there were sounds of dissent from the home supporters as the two teams left the pitch.

The opening moments of the second half suggested worse was to come, with Richarlison somehow managing to steer Kiko Femenia’s excellent low cross wide from just six yards out.

Fortunately for the highly rated Brazilian, he atoned quickly by teeing up Pereyra for a goal that put Marco Silva’s men ahead.

Tiemoue Bakayoko had been a doubt before the game and the Chelsea midfielder, poor throughout, was slow to react when he was dispossessed by Pereyra in the middle of the pitch.

The Watford midfielder pressed forward and when the ball found its way to Richarlison wide on the left via Troy Deeney, the Brazilian picked out the unmarked Pereyra, who finished impressively from 12 yards.

Had Richarlison not missed a second clear chance –- this time a free header from five yards out –- the game might have been over.

Desperate to inject fresh energy into his side, Conte introduced Batshuayi for Morata and the decision was rewarded when the Belgium striker headed home from Pedro’s 71st-minute cross.

The match could have gone either way, with Watford’s Christian Kasabele guilty of missing two free headers.

But it was Azpilicueta who delivered the telling blow, heading home Willian’s cross in the 87th minute to ease the pressure around Stamford Bridge, before Batshuayi wrapped things up.

Pedro reveals which Chelsea star is always first to report for training

Pedro Rodriguez reveals that Cesc Fabregas is usually the first player to report for Chelsea training

Pedro Rodriguez has revealed that Cesc Fabregas is always the first Chelsea player to show up for training at Cobham – follow closely by Alvaro Morata.

Fabregas has developed into a key player for Chelsea since his arrival at the club from Barcelona in the summer of 2014.

The 30-year-old midfielder helped Chelsea to win the Premier League title in his first season at the club and then played a part in the Blues’ triumph under Antonio Conte last season.

Morata, meanwhile, is still adapting to life at Stamford Bridge after his arrival at the west London club from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

The Spanish striker has made a fine start to life in the Premier League though, with Morata having scored six goals in his first seven top flight appearances.

And Pedro has revealed that his Spain international team-mates are usually the first players to arrive for training at Cobham.

Asked who the first players at training are, Pedro told Chelsea’s website: “Cesc is probably the first to get here but Alvaro arrives quite early as well, they eat breakfast and then we all talk a bit before training starts.”

All three Spaniards will be hoping to feature for the Blues when they return to Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime with a home clash against Watford at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have lost their last two games in the top flight.

Ronaldo, World Richest Athlete

★★★CRISTIANO RONALDOOOOOO… You are just Rivaled in Football by Messi, but when one brings other feats into the equation, YOU STAND ALONE★★★
.
Well, it’s been going on for years. We only have to mention as the news come. Ronaldo does it as the Highest paid Footballer, Sportsman, and just 5th in the mix of Celebrities in total – recent Forbes Finding told [goal.com report].
.
.
.
Ronaldo has made a whopping 93 million dollars in 2017.
That puts him as the highest paid sportsman. NBA LeBron James came second @86.2 million dollars, while Messi pinned 80 million dollars as third richest sports earner in 2017.
.
.
.
On a Global scale, Ronaldo is 5th among Celebrities.
- 1. Sean Combs [P. Diddy] = 130 million dollars
- 2. Beyonce = 105 million dollars
- 3. JK Rowling [Harry Porter Author] = 95 million Dollars
- 4. Drake [Rapper] = 94 million Dollars
- 5. Cristiano Ronaldo = 93 million Dollars
.
.
.
Well, we don’t have words, we cheer and celebrate with Ronaldo. We see his professionalism, appetite, hard work and commitment. We see how he is awesome on and off the pitch. Champions League results 18/10/2017

★★★Top Champions League Match Result &
Brief Talking Points★★★
.
1. Chelsea 3–3 Roma
2. Benfica 0–1 Man United
3. Barcelona 3–1 Olympiacos
4. Bayern 3–0 Celtic
5. Juventus 2–1 Sporting
6. PSG 4-0 Anderlecht
7. Qarabag 0–0 Atletico
8. CSKA 0-2 Basel
.
Yeah… Nights like this we crave. Games like we
saw, we want to ever see. Goals as they went in,
we want even more. Football, Football, Football
knows how to win our hearts.
.
.
1. Hmmm… we are happy Chelsea didn’t fall the
third time in a row. How they go 2 goals up, only
to come down 3-2. Ah… we cried for Chelsea
already. Good they came back to draw, maybe
Morata brought the luck, but Hazard is the man.
His form ever lifts Chelsea. That equalizer was
great, but we loved David Luiz’ goal moreeee.
Stalemate, but nice game, still leaders in the
group.
.
.
.
2. LOL… Mourinho reacted and gave us attacking
Football, and Man United players looked sharper.
It was interesting, only that Benfica were so
determined to win some points having got nothing
in the previous 2 Champions League games. Well,
there was Rashford, the boy that will not fail to
surprise. Who saw his dribble that had the
defender fall flat on the ground? His free-kick
goal made the difference. Maybe due to the
inexperience of the youngest Champions League
goalkeeper, but Rashford deserves every credit.
.
.
.
3. We thought Barcelona would take us to
heaven, but PSG did. PSG started so early with
young Mbappe. It was more like the keeper
thought it was too early, or wasn’t expecting it,
when Mbappe stroke the ball through his legs.
Other members of the MCN and Di Maria wrapped
it up. 12 goals from 3 games in the Champions
League, 3 wins, conceded nothing, against the
likes of Bayern, Celtic and recently Anderlecht. We
won’t lie, we enjoyed it, especially as there would
have been more. Great game, great play.
.
.
.
4. But we don’t take anything from Barcelona.
They even did more to play with a man down for
a long period of time, add 2 goals to their own
goal favour. Messi is just a witch. His free-kick
goal lifted the team, Digne got the third, before
Olympiacos could get a consolation. 3 out of 3,
impressive.
.
.
.
5. Yeah… this is really a new dawn for Bayern
with Jupp. We loved this one too. It would have
been more too. Their first goal was ruled out but
they didn’t feel it, only press on to score more.
Great, this is why we watch football. It’s not just
the sports, but how the sports affects us. Goals
came from Muller, Kimmick and Hummels.
.
.
.
6. Like Real Madrid yesterday, Juventus scored all
the goals of the game, only that they won
tonight. Pjanic and Mandzukic ensured it.
Sporting tried their best, threatened when they
could, but Juve wouldn’t want to fall again. Great
team strength.
.
.
.
7. Atletico Madrid started the day with a draw
and we had a bad feeling going into today. Just
when Mbappe opened the day, we loved it from
then. Then everyone one responded.
.
.
.
In the end, it wasn’t a bad day. There were 23
goals in all 8 games, 8 short of what we had
yesterday, but it seemed the thrill was better
today [Wink]. Loving Football has it’s rewards.
We don’t regret it any moment. We thank
Football.

Neymar is not my friend - Cavani

Edinson Cavani has said he does not need to be friends with Neymar, for the duo to perform well in tandem with each other at Paris Saint-Germain.

Both players clashed early in the season, over the taking of a penalty during a Ligue 1 game against Lyon.

Cavani insists those issues are in the past, but says that he does not need to be friends with his team-mate for them both to deliver for the French club.

“The penalty case, that’s in the past. These are things that happen in football.

“We must find the solution together and function as a team. We need to be a competitive team, but we do not need to be friends. You have to be professional, and afterwards everyone has their own life.

“To win is the most important thing so it is necessary to find the best solution for the team. That [who takes the penalties] is what the coach need to decide.

“I think the person in charge [Unai Emery] will find a solution. When he makes the decision, that will be that. Has he made his decision? I don’t think so [laughs],” he told SFR Sport ahead of their Champions League fixture against Anderlecht.

Good morning Footbalgerians,
More is to come today and we are excited:
.
.
1. CHELSEA is on course to redeem themselves.
We hear Morata has been training well. Maybe he
will feature and be the savior they missed. We
really want to see, only wary of the threat ROMA
poses. It is a tough one. Let’s see how it goes.
.
.
.
2. Some UNITED fans were happy for a draw,
some wanted the usual 4, even after what
happened around. Well, LIVERPOOL redeemed
themselves yesterday, UNITED could do same
today. BENFICA is a more experienced side
though. It will take some MOU genius to be
FOURchester today. Let’s see how it goes.
.
.
.
3. Time for the Free scoring Barcelona to return.
Just how it would happen eludes us now. After
the draw against Atletico, we just want something
thrilling, enthralling, take us to Heaven
BARCELONA.
.
.
.
4. Or we should ask heaven of BAYERN with the
new dawn. Yeah, it seems all good now with the
5-nil demolition over the weekend. Let’s see how
they fare in a real test against CELTIC. It will go
a long way to determine their progress. The way
PSG did tidy CELTIC and BAYERN made our
hearts go. Let’s see what could be of
ANDERLECHT.
.
.
.
5. Rise up JUVE, fight on ATLETICO. These are
two strong teams with compact defenses, just not
so good this season as we would want them. We
cheer as we pray for more.
.
.
.
Our souls really seek to see goals upon goals. We
don’t know if it’s good to ever want more, not be
content with some points that are enough. Let’s
see… there were 31 goals yesterday, how many
would be today, who would shine and make our
day?

Champions League Match Results

☆☆★★★Top Champions League Match Results &
Brief Talking Points★★★☆☆
.
1. Man City 2–1 Napoli
2. Real Madrid 1–1 Tottenham
3. Maribor 0–7 Liverpool
4. APOEL 1–1 Dortmund
5. Monaco 1–2 Besiktas
.
Statement, STATEMENT, statement… all we heard
were words from different teams, making their
statement. Liverpool is the team of the day, and
we choose Chamberlain as the player of the day
by sentiments - he has really suffered and his
goal would mean the World to him [LOL].
.
.
.
1. Did you hear MAN CITY? They said, I’m the
best attacking side in Europe. In 13 minutes, they
were already 2 goals up from Sterling and Jesus;
subsequently had a ball cleared from the line,
threatening like NAPOLI won’t see the light of
day. Wow, we loved the showing. NAPOLI was
resilient regardless. If MERTENS had scored the
penalty, maybe they would have been level, but
he missed and it’s still credit to CITY. The Keeper
is a player. So we heard the statement, CITY
dethroned NAPOLI in the affairs of things. Only
EVERTON’s Rooney stopped their shine this
season.
.
.
.
2. TOTTENHAM said don’t ever underrate me.
They didn’t score any goal, but they pressed hard
and would not fear REAL MADRID. Oh, Harry
Kane missed a glorious chance, Benzema missed
a rebound, Ronaldo hit the woodwork. It’s not the
REAL MADRID many would like to see, but
TOTTENHAM deserves all the credit. In the end,
REAL scored both goals, including an own goal,
Ronaldo found the back of the net, and
Tottenham would be the happier of the 2.
.
.
.
3. LIVERPOOL, OMG, they didn’t say it, they sang
it: ‘I’m Back’. We saw what they intended to do
against MAN UNITED, only for the Bus Mourinho
packed. Angrily they flexed their muscles against
Maribor. We expected it, and we are glad they
delivered. Now their confidence will go up. Oh
Chamberlain, you made us the happiest coming
on to get a goal too. Other scorers were Salah
(2), Firmino (2), Coutinho and young Arnold.
.
.
.
4. DORTMUND was disappointing. Everyone got 3
points from APOEL but them. APOEL was glad to
share. They both scored in the second half, 5
minutes difference. It was so disappointing.
MONACO too… they lost it. They went ahead first,
only to fall to a defeat.
.
.
.
Other results had Feyenoord 1-2 Shakhtar
Donetsk; Leipzig 3-2 Porto; Spartak Moscow 5-1
Sevilla – 31 goals in total for the night. Really
exciting in the first half, not much in the second.
Sights now on tomorrow.

Champions League Analysis 17/10/2017

☆☆★★★Top Champions League Matches & Brief
Talking Points★★★☆☆

1. Man City – Napoli 7.45pm
2. Real Madrid – Tottenham 7.45pm
3. Maribor – Liverpool 7.45pm
4. APOEL – Dortmund 7.45pm
5. Monaco – Besiktas 7.45pm
.
Good Morning Football Fans,
.
Given how the Weekend was, we’ve been craving
another Matchday to give us a different
experience. Then when we did the analysis
yesterday, we’ve been looking forward to today
we call a day of prove.
.
.
1. Our analysis of the top teams in Europe’s Top
5 leagues saw NAPOLI at the top and MAN CITY
behind them, dethroning BARCELONA to third.
Since we ranked yesterday, there’s been nothing
we desired more than the CITY-NAPOLI fixture to
prove who is the top dog. MAN CITY has been
shining bright, the Guardiola genius has been
beaming, we so want to see 2 free scoring sides
play on a bigger stage, the Champions League;
seek who would dominate the group. We are so
excited. We so want to see.
.
.
.
2. The REAL-TOTTENHAM game has our
attention too. Tottenham is winning our hearts by
the day, REAL is already established. A
Footbalgerian joked that the Champions League
should be renamed after Ronaldo, Harry Kane is
the new bad guy… We’re hitched, we really want
to see this game and know how it plays.
.
.
.
3. LIVERPOOL’s Klopp has been unhappy with the
way Mourinho’s MAN UNITED played. We read
him and felt his passion, then disappointment,
because he really wanted to prove something,
reestablish LIVERPOOL again as a contender,
rubbish the jeers of recent times. Well, this is a
chance to prove. If Liverpool can give 3 or more
goals without reply, it would be good. It would be
their first win since the transfer window closed.
We so want to see.
.
.
.
4. The Weekend affected DORTMUND and
MONACO too. It was indeed surprising. This is a
chance to prove they can fall, but they will always
rise. Let’s see the fate of DORTMUND that has no
point in their group, falling to REAL and
TOTTENHAM. Let’s see what MONACO can do
this time around.
.
.
.
It’s not really about the Matches today. It’s
about what the results would mean.
